| When you first imagined making gardening as your hobby, you probably thought that it would always be – literally and figuratively – a bed of roses in which flowers of all colors would bloom when and where you want them to. But then reality intrudes on your first day as a gardening enthusiast and you realize that gardening is more difficult than what you originally thought to be. Worse, there’s nothing in this world that seems as difficult as tilling!
But hey, don’t give up too soon! You still have the power to continue with all your gardening plans. All you have to do is restock, replenish or just purchase the right gardening tools for tilling. If you don’t what those gardening tools are, well, here’s a brief description of the basic gardening tools that you’ll need.
Pry Bar – The toughest of all gardening tools used for tilling, the pry bar is mainly responsible for breaking up boulders that are in the way. There are always some boulders to break or split up with this gardening tool whenever you start or establish a new bed in your garden. A pry bar can also double as a pick so if you purchase this gardening tool, make sure that you cross out the pick from your shopping list as well.
Spading Fork – This is an extremely helpful gardening tool whenever you need to transplant, aerate and split grasses and perennials. No gardening tool room would be complete without a spading fork so please make sure that you purchase one as soon as possible. A spading fork can be used as a manure fork and a pick – yes, a pick, so there seems to be no reason why you have to even consider purchasing a pick in the remote future.
Roto-Tiller – Not all gardening experts are in favor of a roto-tiller because it seems to be accompanied with a lot of disadvantages but we’ll list it here all the same just in case you decide on purchasing one. Basically, this gardening tool makes establishing a new bed on your garden relatively easy. If you don’t want to buy a roto-tiller but you do want your tilling problems lightened, you could consider renting one temporarily, just until everything’s done.
Mattock – This is a crossbreed specimen of two gardening tools: the pick and the hoe. The mattock is best used to breaking up soil and could probably rank second to the pry bar as the toughest gardening tool in the planet.
